  • Description
  • The Finger Leather is a very interesting and hardy leather coral. Finger Leather corals grow from a single base and resemble fingers as they grow vertically. Finger Leather corals mostly come in hues of green and pinks.

Finger Leathers should be placed in the bottom to middle of the tank and enjoy moderate to high water flow rates and lighting. When you place your Finger Leather in your tank in your desired location, just watch it for a few days to see if there is good polyp extension. If the coral looks stressed, trying moving it slightly and observing.

Finger Leathers are not overly aggressive corals, but they can bother other corals if they get too close to them. Finger Leathers also grow at a rather fast pace and can get pretty large, so you need to take this into consideration when placing on in your tank.

Finger Leathers get most of their nutrition from photosynthesis and do not need much additional nutrition. If you would like to add more food to their diet, try feeding mysis and brine shrimp or micro-plankton to the tank in the evening hours.
