  • Description
  • The Black Tube Coral is a very unique and interestingly beautiful LPS (Large Polyp Stony) coral. Black Tube Corals grow in an upwards branching method with a black skeleton and black polyps.

Black Tube Corals can be placed anywhere in the tank and need to low to moderate lighting and moderate water flow. After you have placed your Black Tube Coral, watch for any signs of stress. If you see that your Black Tube Coral is showing signs of stress, then simply move your Black Tube Coral a few inches and watch for signs of improvement.

Black Tube Corals are peaceful corals and should not bother any nearby coral neighbors. Do make sure that you give your Black Tube Coral enough room for future growth though when placing it. Black Tube Corals should not be placed close to aggressive corals, that will sting and ultimately kill it.

Black Tube Corals do not get any nutrition from photosynthesis, so they require meaty foods to be in the water column and also fed to them. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and plankton should be fed to the tank in the evening hours to help your Black Tube Coral grow and thrive.
