  • Description
  • The Goniopora Coral is one of the most popular of all the LPS (Large Polyp Stony) corals. Gonioporas are loved so much since their polyps resemble little flowers. Goniopora Corals come in a variety of colors from reds to greens. Since there are so many variations of Goniopora, please make sure that you select the one you want when adding them to your cart.

Goniopora Corals should be placed in the bottom to middle of your tank. They do best with both moderate to high water flow and lighting. Pick your desired location for the Goniopora Coral, then watch it over a few days for signs of stress. If you see any signs of stress, simple move it slightly until you see better extension.

Goniopora Coral are aggressive corals and should not be placed close to their coral neighbors. Goniopora Corals can seriously damage corals that are too close. You should take this into consideration when placing your Goniopora Coral.

Goniopora Corals get most of their nutritional needs from photosynthesis. You can supplement their diet with meaty foods like baby brine shrimp and mysis shrimp or with micro-plankton. Adding trace elements back into the tank with water changes or dosing will also help your Goniopora Coral thrive.

Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions about the Goniopora Coral and if it's the right coral for your tank.
