  • Description
  • The Modern Coral is one of the most stunning and largest single polyp corals out there. Modern Corals are LPS (Large Polyp Stony) corals with huge bubble like polyps. Modern Corals come in a variety of colors from pink to green.

Modern Corals tend to do best when placed at the bottom of your tank. They like low water flow and moderate lighting. Once you have found the perfect place for your Modern Coral, leave it for a day or two to see how its polyp extension is. If you don't see good extension, then just move the Modern Coral slightly until you see it start to open up.

Modern Corals are not overly aggressive corals, but shouldn't be placed too close to a coral neighbor. Modern Corals can sting and can also inflate their bodies by at least twice. Also take into consideration how much a Modern Coral will grown when placing it.

Modern Corals do not require more food than what it can get out of the water column in most cases. If you feel that your Modern Coral would benefit from more food, simply add food like mysis or baby brine shrimp to the tank at night. Also adding trace elements back to the tank through water changes or dosing will help your Modern Coral thrive.
