  • Description
  • Trumpet Corals are extremely colorful and beautiful LPS (Large Polyp Stony) corals. Trumpet Corals have a hard central skeleton that its large fleshy polyps extend from.

Trumpet Corals come in a host of colors from deep blues to electric neon greens and yellows. Trumpet Corals are fairly hardy and easy to keep care of. Trumpet Corals require moderate to high lighting and moderate water flow. Trumpet Corals can be placed just about anywhere in the aquarium as well. If you see that your Trumpet Coral is retracted a lot, slightly move it around until you see good polyp extension.

Trumpet Corals are pretty peaceful colors and only have short tentacles, so you don’t need to have too much space between Trumpet Corals and their neighboring corals.

For the most part Trumpet Corals get their nutrition from photosynthesis. Some nutrition is also gathered from the water column. Supplemental evening feedings of small meaty items like mysis and baby brine shrimp will also help your Trumpet Coral grown and flourish.

Since there are so many colors of Trumpet Corals, please make sure you choose your favorite from the item options drop down list. Also if you have any questions about the Trumpet Coral and if it’s the right coral for your tank, please feel free to contact us at any time.
