  • The Montipora Capricornis is a stunning and beautiful SPS (Small polyp stony) coral. Montipora Capricornis grow outwards in a folding vase like pattern. Montipora Capricornis corals come in a variety of colors, so please make sure you select the color you want when adding one to your cart.

    Montipora Capricornis corals should be placed in the middle of your tank to give room for growth. Montipora Capricornis require both moderate flow rate and lighting. After you have placed your Montipora Capricornis, give it a few days and look for signs of stress. If the coral seems stressed, move it a few inches until you see better polyp extension.

    Montipora Capricornis are peaceful corals and can be very close to other peaceful coral. Do not place Montipora Capricornis next to overly aggressive coral, or you might end up losing it.

    Montipora Capricornis corals get most of their nutrition through photosynthesis. Generally the more light a Montipora Capricornis can get, the better. If you feel like you'd like to supplement the diet of your Montipora Capricornis, try adding plankton or baby brine shrimp to the tank during the evening hours.
