  • The Strawberry Shortcake Acropora is a stunning and super colorful SPS (Small Polyed Stony) coral. Strawberry Shortcake Acroporas grow in an upward branching manner and are mostly pink with white to light blue tips.

    Strawberry Shortcake Acropora can be placed anywhere in the tank as long as they get intense lighting and moderate to high flow rates. Once you have placed your Strawberry Shortcake Acropora, watch for any signs of stress. If you see any stress, simply move the coral a few inches until you see improvement. Strawberry Shortcake Acroporas prefer random flow as well.

    As with most SPS corals, make sure that you take a week or two to acclimate your Strawberry Shortcake Acropora to the intense lights in your tank. Strawberry Shortcake Acropora will just thrive under strong LED or metal halide lights. Strawberry Shortcake Acroporas are peaceful coral and can be placed close to other peaceful coral neighbors. Aggressive coral species will sting and possibly cause your Strawberry Shortcake Acropora to retract and possibly die.

    Strawberry Shortcake Acroporas get most of their nutrition through the water column and photosynthesis. If you would like to supplement the diet of your Strawberry Shortcake Acropora, you can try feeding your tank small meaty foods like mysis and baby brine shrimp as well as plankton in the evening hours.
