  • Description
  • The Carberryi Anthias is a very bright and colorful anthias. Carberryi Anthias have a mostly pink body with strong orange highlights and a yellow tail. Male Carberryi Anthias tend to be more colorful as well.

Carberryi Anthias reach a maximum adult size of around 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons. Carberryi Anthias are semi-aggressive fish and shouldn't bother other fish, coral or inverts. For this reason they are great fish to be added to reef tanks. Male Carberryi Anthias will be aggressive towards other fish, for this reason it is really best to add a group of females together, or one male with multiple females.

Carberryi Anthias are very active fish and should be out in the aquarium most of the day. While active, Carberryi Anthias are still very shy fish. For this reason, it is best to make sure they have plenty of areas to hide. Live rock will provide lots of places for Carberryi Anthias to hide and also provide them small inverts to pick at between feedings.

Being carnivores, Carberryi Anthias require a diet that is very rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality flake and pellet foods as well as high quality meaty foods will keep your Carberryi Anthias healthy and happy. Carberryi Anthias, like other Anthias species, are so active that they need to be fed a few smaller meals a day over one larger meal.
