  • The Bluestripe Butterflyfish is a stunning yellow and blue butterflyfish from Hawaii. Bluestripe Butterflyfish have a yellow body with strong electric blue horizontal lines running along its body.

    Bluestripe Butterflyfish reach a maximum adult size of around 5 inches and need to be kept in a tank that is at least 90 gallons. The Bluestripe Butterflyfish is a peaceful fish and shouldn’t bother other fish in your tank. Bluestripe Butterflyfish are well known coral eaters and shouldn’t be kept in reef tanks. Bluestripe Butterflyfish will thrive in fish only tanks with other peaceful to semi-aggressive fish.

    Bluestripe Butterflyfish also tend to do well in small groups as well, and can add a great amount of color to your FOWLR tank. Bluestripe Butterflyfish might be hard to get acclimated to life in an aquarium, but once they are used to life in an aquarium they can be hardier than other butterfly fish.

    Bluestripe Butterflyfish are carnivores and require a diet rich in both green and meaty foods. Foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, nori, algae sheets, high quality frozen and flake foods will help your Bluestripe Butterflyfish stay healthy and thrive in your tank.
