  • Description
  • The Ocellaris Naked Clownfish is a stunning and truly unique clownfish. Ocellaris Naked Clowns have an almost solid orange body, void of any of the usually white markings found on most clownfish. The only markings found on the Ocellaris Naked Clown are black along its fins.

Ocellaris Naked Clowns reach a fully grown adult size of around 3 inches and can be kept in tanks as small as 20 gallons. Ocellaris Naked Clowns are pretty peaceful fish and should not bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. This makes them a great choice for reef tanks. Ocellaris Naked Clowns do the best when in a mated pair, and will sometimes be aggressive to other clownfish in smaller tanks.

Ocellaris Naked Clownfish should not be kept with larger more aggressive fish, since they are not very good at defending themselves against bigger fish. Having lots of live rock for the Ocellaris Naked Clownfish to hide in if spooked is also a great idea to keep your Ocellaris Naked Clown happy. An anemone can play a great host for your Ocellaris Naked Clownfish as well, since it will keep them safe from larger fish that will be stung by the anemone.

Ocellaris Naked Clownfish are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both green and meaty foods. Foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, high quality pellet and flake foods, as well as high quality frozen foods will keep your Ocellaris Naked Clownfish happy and healthy. Ocellaris Naked Clowns are aggressive eaters and are not picky about their food.
