  • The Percula Black Edge Clown is a unique and rare version of the Percula Clownfish. Percula Black Edge Clownfish have a mostly orange body with three strong white vertical stripes that are lined with black.

    Percula Black Edge Clownfish reach a maximum size of around 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons in size. Percula Black Edge Clowns are semi-aggressive fish and might show aggression toward other clownfish and damsels. Apart from those fish, Percula Black Edge Clowns should be peaceful to other fish, coral and inverts. This makes them a great choice for reef tanks.

    Percula Black Edge Clownfish will often look for an anemone to host them. Since Percula Black Edge Clownfish can't defend themselves very well, the anemone provides them with protection. Percula Black Edge Clownfish are immune to the sting of anemones, but larger predators will be stung and then leave the clownfish alone.

    Percula Black Edge Clownfish are aggressive eaters and are not very picky with their foods. Percula Black Edge Clowns are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality pellet and flake foods should keep your Percula Black Edge Clown healthy and happy.
