  • The Golden Damsel is a very striking and hardy damsel. Golden Damsels have a fully golden body with a lighter colored belly.

    Golden Damsels reach a maximum adult size of around 5 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons in size. Golden Damsels are semi-aggressive fish and shouldn't bother other fish, coral or inverts when first introduced to your tank. This makes them a good choice for reef tanks looks for a dash of color.

    Golden Damsels are very hardy fish, which makes them a good choice for the beginner aquarist. Golden Damsels do well in smaller groups, but as they age they can become territorial and aggressive to other damsels and smaller fish. To help reduce the chances of aggression, try to have lots of live rock available for your Golden Damsel to find its own territory.

    Golden Damsels are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality flake and pellet foods and high quality frozen foods will keep your Golden Damsel healthy and happy.
