  • The Sunrise Dottyback is a beautiful and colorful dottyback. Sunrise Dottybacks have a mostly blue body that fades to a white belly. Sunrise Dottybacks also have a strong yellow streak down their backs.

    Sunrise Dottybacks reach a maximum adult size of around 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons. Sunrise Dottybacks are semi-aggressive fish that shouldn't bother many other fish, coral or inverts. Sunrise Dottybacks have been known to eat some shrimp, so if you want to add one to your reef tank, please proceed with caution.

    Sunrise Dottyback are known to be fairly strong jumpers, so it is recommended that you have a tight fitting lid on your tank with no holes large enough for them to jump through if spooked. Sunrise Dottyback can be aggressive to other Dottybacks and other similarly sized fish in smaller aquariums, so please also take that into consideration when adding a Sunrise Dottyback to your system.

    Sunrise Dottyback are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will help keep your Sunrise Dottyback healthy and happy.
