  • Description
  • The Pinkbar Goby is a very interesting goby that is often found in the wild paired up with shrimp. Pinkbar Gobies have a long body that is pinkish orange with strong white vertical bands.

Pinkbar Gobies reach a maximum adult size of around 4 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 10 gallons in size. Pinkbar Gobies are known jumpers, so it’s important to have a tight fitting lid on the tank with no holes large enough for them to jump through. Pinkbar Gobies are peaceful fish and shouldn’t bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. This makes them a great addition to reef tanks. Pinkbar Gobies can be aggressive to other gobies in smaller tanks though.

Pinkbar Gobies require a tank with lots of live rock and sand in them. Pinkbar Gobies will pick at small inverts off of the live rock all day long and will also hide in the rock work if threatened. Pinkbar Gobies require a sand bed since they like to burrow.

Pinkbar Gobies are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and small pieces of fresh seafood will keep your Pinkbar Goby healthy and happy. Also it is advised to feed your Pinkbar Goby multiple times per day.
