  • The White Girdled Goby is an ultra rare and beautiful goby. White Girdled Gobies have a mostly electric blue body with strong vertical yellow stripes and yellow fin. White Girdled Gobies also have red markings on their anal fin.

    White Girdled Gobies reach a maximum adult size of around 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 20 gallons in size. White Girdled Gobies are strong jumpers and should only be kept in tanks that have a tight fitting lid with no holes large enough for them to jump through if spooked. White Girdled Gobies will not bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. This makes them a great choice for reef tanks.

    Since White Girdled Gobies are so peaceful and cannot defend themselves well, it is strongly recommended that you do not keep them with large overly aggressive fish like Triggers. White Girdled Gobies will thrive in tanks that have a lot of live rock and sand for them to pick small inverts off of between feedings. In smaller tanks, it is only recommended to keep bonded pairs of White Girdled Gobies together. In larger tanks White Girdled Gobies should get along with other gobies and should be able to be kept in small groups.

    White Girdled Gobies are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your White Girdled Goby healthy and thriving.
