  • The Bennett's Sharpnose Puffer is a very beautiful and colorful smaller pufferfish. Bennett's Sharpnose Puffers are mostly light tan in body with a white belly. Bennett's Sharpnose Puffers have amazing electric blue spots and markings on their bodies as well.

    Bennett's Sharpnose Puffers reach a maximum adult size of around 4 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons in size. Bennett's Sharpnose Puffers are peaceful fish and shouldn't bother too many other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. Bennett's Sharpnose Puffers might go after smaller inverts though, so if you'd like to add one to your reef tank please only do with caution.

    Bennett's Sharpnose Puffers have the ability to inflate their bodies to scare off larger predators. For this reason you should never catch and transport a Bennett's Sharpnose Puffer in a net. Acrylic or plastic containers are much easier on the Bennett's Sharpnose Puffer and a much better option. Multiple Bennett's Sharpnose Puffers can also be kept in larger aquariums.

    Bennett's Sharpnose Puffer are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your Bennett's Sharpnose Puffer healthy and happy.
