  • Description
  • The Blueline Snapper is a stunning member of the Snapper family. The Blueline Snapper has a long yellow body with electric blue horizontal lines running the full length of its body.

Blueline Snappers can grow to an adult size of around 15 inches, and require a tank that is at least 180 gallons. Blueline Snappers are very social fish and like to be housed with a few other Snappers. They are pretty non-aggressive fish and should leave most similar sized fish alone.

Blueline Snappers are not considered to be reef safe, since they will eat all the essential inverts needed to keep a thriving reef tank. Blueline Snappers are carnivores and need a diet rich in meaty foods. Foods such as silversides, mysis shrimp, larger brine shrimp and krill are great for Blueline Snappers.

If you can keep Blueline Snappers in the appropriate sized tank with the right tank mates and diet, they can be a very interesting and colorful addition to your fish only tank.
