  • The Fiddler Stingray is a small and stunning stingray. Fiddler Stingrays have a mostly tan to brown body with dark black markings.

    Fiddler Stingrays reach a maximum adult size of around 36 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 500 gallons in size. Fiddler Stingrays are peaceful fish and should not bother other fish in your tank. Fiddler Stingrays will eat all inverts it can find, so they are a bad choice for reef tanks. Also their size can knock over rock work and coral in reef tanks.

    Fiddler Stingrays require a tank with a deep and fine sand bed. Fiddler Stingrays spend their lives on the floor of your tank looking for food and will often cover themselves with sand. Fiddler Stingrays can easy get an infection of your substrate isn’t fine and has sharp edges.

    Fiddler Stingrays are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods such as small pieces of fresh seafoods like fish, squid, crab and shrimp will keep your Fiddler Stingray happy and thriving. Sometimes Fiddler Stingray have issues eating when first introduced to an aquarium, which should be able to be overcome if you offer them live feeder shrimp.
