  • The McCosker's Flasher Wrasse is a stunning and super colorful wrasse. McCosker's Flasher Wrasses have a mostly orange body with strong blue horizontal stripes and yellow and red fins and markings. Male McCosker's Flasher Wrasses are typically more colorful than the females.

    McCosker's Flasher Wrasses reach a maximum adult size of around 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 40 gallons in size. McCosker's Flasher Wrasses are mostly peaceful fish and should leave more other fish, coral and inverts alone. This makes the McCosker's Flasher Wrasse a great choice for reef tanks.

    Male McCosker's Flasher Wrasses will be aggressive to other males. It is advised to have a small group of all female McCosker's Flasher Wrasses or one male with multiple females. Over time with multiple McCosker's Flasher Wrasses present, the dominant male will turn into a super male and have amazing coloration. McCosker's Flasher Wrasses also need to be kept in tanks with a tight fitting lid with no holes large enough for them to fit through, or they will jump out if they get spooked.

    McCosker's Flasher Wrasses are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and high quality pellet and flake foods will make sure that your McCosker's Flasher Wrasse stays healthy and flourishes in your tank.
