  • The Purple Velvet Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus luteovittatus), also known as the Yellowstreaked Fairy Wrasse or Velvet Multicolor Fairy Wrasse, is a stunningly beautiful fish found in the Western Pacific Ocean, particularly around Fiji and Tonga. Male Purple Velvet Wrasses are known for their vibrant maroon bodies with a distinctive horizontal yellow streak, while females exhibit a more subdued palette of olive green and purplish-blue hues. These fish are often found in small groups in lagoons and channels over coral or stands of macroalgae, adding a splash of color to their natural habitat.
