  • Description
  • The Condy Anemone is a large and elegant anemone. Condy Anemone come in a host of colors with the most common being white and purple. The Condy Anemone has long tentacles that extend out from their central base.

Condy Anemones reach a maximum adult size of around 8 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons in size. Condy Anemones are aggressive anemones and can harm small fish, other anemones and corals. For this reason Condy Anemones should only be added to reef tanks with caution.

Condy Anemones will move around the tank until they find a position they like the best. Condy Anemones prefer moderate to high lighting and moderate water flow. Condy Anemones will often bury their bases in the substrate or in live rock crevices. While the Condy Anemone is moving around the tank it might sting coral with its tentacles as well. Condy Anemones will not host clownfish either.

Condy Anemones are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp as well as small pieces of fresh seafood will keep your Condy Anemone healthy and thriving.
