  • Description
  • The Ritteri Anemone is a stunning and large anemone. Ritteri Anemones have long flowing tentacles that can vary in color from tan to green and orange. Ritteri Anemones are elegant anemones and a great addition to most tank.

Ritteri Anemones reach a maximum of around 10 inches in captivity and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 90 gallons in size. Ritteri Anemones are aggressive anemones, but shouldn't bother most fish, coral and inverts. Ritteri Anemones might sting some corals in the tank and also there is the possibility of Ritteri Anemones eating smaller fish.

Ritteri Anemones tend to enjoy higher lighting then other anemones and usually end up higher in the tank. Ritteri Anemones also do best when they have strong random and indirect flow hitting them. Ritteri Anemones can play host to some species of clownfish, which it protects from larger more aggressive fish that aren't immune to the sting of the Ritteri Anemone like clownfish are.

Ritteri Anemones are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp as well as small pieces of fresh seafood will keep your Ritteri Anemone healthy and happy.

  • User Reviewsbeen looking for a very nice anemone for my 75 gallon coral reef tank. I've had experience with many others but have not made me satisfied. I've done my research and know that the two kessil led 150w ocean blue lighting will look stunning in my tank with my clownfish.Dillon Hathaway (lake placid fl) - 2/6/2015 5:16:30 PM
