  • Description
  • The Red Hawaiian Reef Lobster is a stunning and super colorful lobster. Red Hawaiian Reef Lobsters have a mostly all red body with hairs covering their claws and body.

Red Hawaiian Reef Lobsters reach a maximum adult size of around 5 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons in size. Red Hawaiian Reef Lobsters are semi-aggressive inverts and shouldn't bother too many fish, coral or inverts in your tank. Red Hawaiian Reef Lobsters will go after sick and small fish and some smaller inverts though.

Red Hawaiian Reef Lobsters will do best in tanks with lots of live rock and substrate in them. Red Hawaiian Reef Lobsters will find caves they like to say in and also might burrow in the sand. Red Hawaiian Reef Lobsters need to have sufficient iodine in the tank for when they molt. Red Hawaiian Reef Lobsters should not be kept in tanks with overly aggressive fish that might eat them when they'll molting.

Red Hawaiian Reef Lobsters are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality pellet and flake foods will keep your Red Hawaiian Reef Lobster healthy and happy. Red Hawaiian Reef Lobsters will get most of their food from scavenging in your tank though, making them a good addition to your tanks clean up crew.
