  • Description
  • The Bumble Bee Snail is a very useful and small snail. Bumble Bee Snails have a mostly black shell with yellow and white stripes on it, resembling a bumble bee hence the name.

Bumble Bee Snails reach a maximum adult size of around 1 inch and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 10 gallons. Bumble Bee Snails are peaceful snails and shouldn't bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. This make the Bumble Bee Snail a great snail to add to reef tanks.

Bumble Bee Snails will thrive in tanks that have a lot of live rock for them to hide in during the day. Bumble Bee Snails are mostly nocturnal snails and will do most of their roaming in the night time. Bumble Bee Snails will get in the cracks of your rock to find leftover foods and detritus. This makes the small Bumble Bee Snail a great addition to your tanks clean up crew.

Bumble Bee Snails are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Most of their nutrition will come from what they find in the tank though. If you would like to supplement the diet of your Bumble Bee Snail, simply feed the tank foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods or high quality flake and pellet foods.
