  • Description
  • The Turbo Snail is one of the most useful snails you could add to your aquarium. Turbo Snails have multicolored shells that grow as they age.

Turbo Snails reach a maximum adult size of around 2 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 20 gallons in size. Turbo Snails are peaceful snails and shouldn't bother other inverts, fish or coral in your tank. This makes the Turbo Snail a great addition to reef tanks.

Turbo Snails are mostly active during the night time hours and will hide in the rock work during the day. Turbo Snails are some of the best algae grazers you could ever add to your tank. Turbo Snails will eat a huge variety of algaes including some nuisance algaes as well. A few Turbo Snails can normally get an algae problem under control very quickly.

Turbo Snails are herbivores and require a diet that is rich in green foods. Most of your Turbo Snails nutrition will come from your tanks algae. If you would like to supplement the diet of a Turbo Snail, you can use nori or marine algae sheets or high quality flake foods.
