  • The Medusa Worm is a very interesting and unique worm. Medusa Worms can vary in color from white to brown to red. Medusa Worms have many long white tentacles that extend far out of their body and give them their Medusa name, resembling the snakes in her hair.

    Medusa Worms reach a maximum adult size of around 18 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons in size. Medusa Worms are peaceful worms that will not bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. For this reason, Medusa Worms are good for reef tanks.

    Medusa Worms are considered extremely hard since they can release toxins into the tank that can kill fish. Medusa Worms need to be kept away from powerheads or overflows so they are not sucked in and release these toxins. So please only order a Medusa Worm is you have had experience with the species or are an expert aquarist.

    Medusa Worms are great members of your clean up crew and will take care of any problems you might be having with detritus.
