Shipping Rates

TankStop only uses Priority Overnight for all of our saltwater fish, coral and invert orders.

By using Priority Overnight, we make sure that our livestock spends the least amount of time in transit. All Priority Overnight packages are guaranteed to be delivered by 10:30am the next day. Marine livestock is extremely sensitive, and the faster we can get our livestock to you, the better.

Once tracking information is provided, it is the customer's responsibility to keep track of the shipment and if any delays occur during shipment due to the carrier. TankStop does not monitor shipments after they are picked up by the carrier.

Make sure that somebody is home to take delivery of the package upon arrival. We cannot be held responsible for any livestock lost if a drop off is missed or a package is left at your doorstep for an extended period of time.



Combined Shipping

Shipping rates cannot be combined on livestock and dry goods. Our livestock and dry goods ship from different warehouses and use different shipping services. When you go to your shopping cart, your current livestock and dry goods shipping rates will be displayed along with how much more is needed to hit their respected free shipping tiers.

Livestock, Salt and Sand Shipping Rates

Orders under $200
All orders of saltwater fish, coral and inverts that are under $200 are subject to a $10 box charge. No box charges are applied to orders over $200.

Orders under $349
All orders of saltwater fish, coral and inverts that are under $349 are subject to a $44.95 shipping charge for Priority Overnight.

Orders over $349
We offer 100% free shipping on all orders of $349 or more on saltwater fish, coral and inverts. Items will be shipped via Priority Overnight.

Larger Orders
If more than one box is needed to ship your order, additional shipping costs will occur. Most orders can easily fit in our regular or oversized boxes, but there are cases when additional boxes may be needed. We will notify you before shipping your order if any additional boxes are required and what the additional fee is. You can either remove some items from your order or get a full refund if you do not wish to pay the additional shipping fee.

Larger items like some sharks and rays require large crates that can only be shipped via air freight. These items do not qualify for free shipping and shipping fees will need to be paid when the crate is picked up from the airport.

Free shipping on orders over $349 is applied to the first box only. Each additional box will be subject to additional charges, we will work with you on a case by case basis in these situations.

Live Rock, Sand and Salt
Due to the weight of live rock, sand and salt, shipping charges are calculated in the shopping cart. We try to give our customers the best rates possible on shipping heavy items like live rock, sand and salt.



Aquarium Supplies Shipping Rates

Orders under $39
All orders of aquarium supplies that are under $39 are subject to a $11.99 domestic shipping charge.

Orders between $39 and $49
All orders of aquarium supplies that are between $39 and $49 are subject to a $12.99 domestic shipping charge.

Orders between $49 and $75
All orders of aquarium supplies that are between $49 and $75 are subject to a $13.99 domestic shipping charge.

Orders over $75
We offer 100% free shipping on all orders of $75 or more on aquarium supplies.

Frozen Food
Frozen food will add $25 to the shipping total on all aquarium supply orders under $150. For aquarium supply orders over $150, frozen food will ship for free.

Freight Orders
Most larger orders that are shipped via freight shipping ship for free. If there are any costs associated with the cost of shipping items via freight, we will contact you prior to your item shipping.



Shipping Times

TankStop only ships livestock Monday through Thursday. If your livestock order is received before 2pm Pacific Standard Time, your order will be delivered the next day before 10:30am by Priority Overnight.

Livestock orders received after 2pm PST Thursday or on Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be shipped Monday morning.

Most aquarium supply orders leave our warehouse the next business day. Average transit times are between 5-10 business days depending on the shipping destination.
